User Account Info
This page is for editing a user's basic account information as well as other user properties. It is also used for marking a user's status such as verified or validated.
Account Information
- Username – A unique identifier chosen during registration.
- Password – Not displayed for security. Enter here to change (6–100 characters).
- Confirm Password – Re-type the new password to confirm.
- Email – The email linked to the account. Each email can only be used once.
Web API Authentication Token
This is the Web API Authentication Token for this user. Click Generate to create a new one. Note: This will only appear if the Enable Web API setting is turned on under Site Preferences > Setup.
Roles
- Admin – Can access the Admin Control Panel and make site changes.
- Seller – Can create listings and issue sales invoices.
- Buyer – Can bid and make purchases.
- Make this user a Consignor – Opens the Consignor creation form with user info pre-filled. Visible only if the “Enable Consignors” setting is active.
Account Status
- Approved – Marks the user as approved.
- Restricted – Prevents login access.
- Verified – Confirms email verification completed.
- Newsletter – User has opted in for newsletters.
- Web API – Grants access to API if enabled.
Send Verification Email – Sends a verification message and resets the Verified status to “False”.
User Details
- First Name – User’s first name.
- Last Name – User’s last name.
- Company – User’s company name (if applicable).
- Phone – Contact phone number.
- Tax Exempt – Excludes tax on invoices.
- Credit Card Required Exempt – Allows listings or bids without a stored credit card.
- Post Fee Exempt – No listing post fee charged.
- Seller Final Fee Exempt – No final fee charged to seller.
- All Seller Fees Exempt – Waives all seller fees.
- All Buyer Fees Exempt – Waives all buyer fees.
Seller Settings
- Allow Instant Checkout – Enables instant PayPal checkout without manual invoices.
- Stripe Credentials – Links seller to site or personal Stripe account for payments.
- Accept PayPal – Enables PayPal for this user’s sales.
- PayPal Email – The seller’s PayPal address.
- Payment Instructions – Notes visible to buyers during checkout.
- Default Invoice Comment – Text automatically added to all sales invoices.
- Buyer’s Premium (%) – Adds a percentage to buyer invoices (if enabled).
- Credit Card Fee (%) – Adds a surcharge to card payments if configured.
- Accept Cash – Allows disabling automatic credit card fees for cash payments.
Consignment Settings
- Statement Logo – Upload logo for consignment statements.
- Default Statement Comment – Text or HTML shown on consignment statements.
- Aggregate Commission Fee Tiers – Combines commission tiers by final price.
Comments
The Comments section is used for admin-only notes not visible to the user.
Deactivate or Delete User
- Deactivate User – Prevents login but keeps data (stops re-registration with same email).
- Delete User – Permanently removes account and all related listings, invoices, and messages.
Click Save Changes to apply any updates made to the user account.
