Prohibited & Restricted Items
To keep TradeAv safe, compliant, and fair for all users, certain items are not allowed to be listed, sold, or traded on the platform. Sellers are responsible for ensuring their listings meet all applicable laws, aviation regulations, and TradeAv policies.
❌ Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited and must not be listed on TradeAv under any circumstances:
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or firearms of any kind.
- Illegal, stolen, or counterfeit goods.
- Banned substances — not compliant with transport regulations.
- Human remains, organs, or biological materials.
- Drugs, narcotics, or controlled substances (including prescription-only medicines).
- Live animals, wildlife products, or taxidermy that breaches import/export laws.
- Offensive, pornographic, or violent materials.
- Software or devices used to hack, tamper, or bypass aviation or electronic systems.
- Items that promote hate, discrimination, or illegal activities.
⚠️ Restricted Items (Require Approval or Documentation)
Some aviation-related items may be listed on TradeAv but are considered restricted and must meet strict conditions before being approved:
- Aviation components and aircraft parts — must be genuine and include part numbers or manufacturer details.
- Engines, propellers, or airframe assemblies — must comply with aviation safety and export regulations.
- Lubricants, oils, and fluids — must comply with local shipping and hazardous goods laws, and be listed with accurate safety information (SDS/MSDS where required).
- Used aircraft parts — must not be listed as “airworthy” unless supported by approved documentation (e.g. Form 8130-3, CASA Form One, or equivalent).
- Military or government-issued equipment — may only be listed if legally decommissioned and cleared for civilian resale.
- Radio or navigation equipment — must meet regional frequency and licensing requirements (e.g. CASA, FAA, CAA).
Seller Responsibilities
- Sellers are fully responsible for ensuring their items comply with TradeAv policies and applicable laws.
- All item descriptions must be truthful, accurate, and include any required compliance or safety information.
- TradeAv reserves the right to remove or suspend listings that breach these rules, even without prior notice.
- Repeated or serious violations may lead to account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
TradeAv’s Role & Responsibility
- TradeAv is a facilitator platform only — we do not verify, inspect, or certify the legality or safety of items listed.
- We assume no responsibility for user content, accuracy of listings, or compliance with aviation or shipping laws.
- Any concerns regarding a specific listing should be reported immediately via the Report an Issue page.
