Buyer Responsibilities & Accidental Purchase Policy
Buying or bidding on TradeAv creates a binding agreement between the buyer and seller. Please read listings carefully and ensure you intend to purchase before confirming any action.
❗ Buying or Bidding by Mistake
Accidental purchases or bids do not qualify as valid reasons to cancel a transaction. This includes:
- Clicking “Buy Now” by mistake
- Accidentally placing a bid
- Child or another person using your device
- Changing your mind after buying
- Not reading the listing properly
- Selecting the wrong item, size, model, or quantity
In all of these situations, the buyer is still responsible for completing the purchase.
✔ If You Made a Mistake
If you buy or bid by mistake, you must:
- Contact the seller politely and immediately
- Explain the situation
- Request a cancellation
Sellers are not required to approve a cancellation. The seller may choose to allow it, but they are under no obligation to do so.
✔ Valid Reasons for a Cancellation
A cancellation may be permitted when:
- The seller agrees to cancel
- The item was listed incorrectly by the seller
- There was a genuine listing mistake (wrong photos, wrong description, etc.)
- The item was misrepresented
- The item cannot be supplied
TradeAv cannot force a seller to cancel a sale as transactions are conducted directly between buyer and seller.
⚠️ Bidding Rules (Auctions)
- All bids are final and legally binding.
- Bids cannot be removed, edited, or retracted once submitted.
- Only bid if you fully intend to purchase the item if you win.
- Winning bidders must contact the seller and complete the purchase promptly.
Communication with Sellers
Buyers must maintain respectful and honest communication with sellers at all times. Misuse of the messaging system may result in account review or suspension.
- Respond promptly if a seller messages you
- Use TradeAv messaging for all communication (do not request off-platform contact)
- Report any abuse or suspicious behaviour using the Report function
Before Purchasing
To avoid mistakes, always:
- Read the full description
- Check condition (New/Used)
- Confirm shipping costs
- Review photos carefully
- Check seller feedback if available
- Ask questions before buying

- TradeAv is a facilitator platform only and is not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers.
- We do not guarantee, control, or accept responsibility for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of items listed.
- TradeAv is not responsible for refunds, shipping delays, damaged items, payment disputes, or communication issues between users.
- All responsibility for refunds, returns, and item condition lies solely with the individual seller.
