Account Security
Keeping your TradeAv account secure is essential for protecting your personal information, listings, and transactions. TradeAv uses several security measures — including CAPTCHA verification — to ensure the safety of all user accounts.
Login & Password Security
- Always use a strong, unique password that includes a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Never reuse the same password that you use for other websites or apps.
- Update your password regularly, especially if you’ve logged in from a shared or public device.
- Log out of your account after each session if you’re using a shared computer or public Wi-Fi.
- If you suspect your password has been compromised, change it immediately in your account settings.
CAPTCHA Verification
- TradeAv uses CAPTCHA verification during login, registration, and sensitive account actions to ensure access is from a real person — not automated bots.
- If a CAPTCHA challenge appears, complete it carefully to confirm your identity and continue securely.
- Repeated failed CAPTCHA attempts may temporarily lock access to protect your account.
- Do not use automated software, browser extensions, or shared login tools to bypass CAPTCHA — this may lead to account suspension.
Email & Verification
- Only respond to official TradeAv emails — genuine messages will come from an address ending in @tradeav.com.
- Be cautious of phishing emails that ask for passwords, payment details, or verification codes.
- TradeAv will never ask for your password or payment information via email or message.
- Always verify the website address before logging in — ensure it begins with https://tradeav.com.
Device & Browser Security
- Enable automatic updates for your browser and operating system to keep your device secure.
- Install trusted antivirus and anti-malware software.
- Do not share your login details with anyone, including buyers or sellers.
- Never allow remote access to your device from unknown individuals claiming to represent TradeAv or support services.
Reporting Suspicious Activity
- If you notice unusual activity — such as unauthorised logins, changed information, or unexpected emails — change your password immediately.
- Contact TradeAv support via the Report an Issue page with as much detail as possible.
- Do not engage with users who request off-platform payments or personal information.
TradeAv’s Responsibility
- TradeAv provides account and system-level security measures, including encryption and CAPTCHA protection, but users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their own login details.
- TradeAv assumes no responsibility for losses caused by shared passwords, compromised credentials, or phishing activity outside the platform.
- We recommend enabling two-step verification (if available) for added protection.
Tip: For maximum safety, never share your account credentials, and always complete CAPTCHA challenges correctly when prompted — it’s a vital part of keeping your account secure.
